In connection with Konst på väg (Art on the Road) in Tierp Municipality, we welcome you to Söderfors Herrgård, where we are opening Grillska salen for a living art exhibition featuring three artists with ties to the area.
During the event, you will have the opportunity to meet the artists on site and see how their craftsmanship develops. Visitors can experience traditional techniques such as weaving and porcelain painting up close and even try their hand at weaving.
Eva Forsberg
Eva began weaving at the age of 6 in Hedesunda. Her father, Birger Forsberg, was leading a project in which children in the village wove a tapestry for the municipal building.
Today, Eva creates freely at the loom without a pattern and works with plant-dyed yarn. During the exhibition, she will sit and weave and let visitors try their hand at weaving.
Eva Lena Pettersson
Eva Lena was born and lives in Söderfors, where she paints historical motifs from the area on porcelain and glass. During the exhibition, she will demonstrate porcelain painting and also display abstract paintings and wood crafts inspired by the shapes found in nature.
Susanne Henriques
Yarn and color are Susanne's primary means of expression. Through many hours at the loom, she transforms memories and feelings into woven images. She also wove together with the Hedesundavävarna weavers in the summer of 1966 under the direction of Birger Forsberg.
