Massage Therapist at Söderfors Herrgård & Spa
Would you like to help develop a spa and wellness center at a historic manor house on the Dalälven River?
Söderfors Herrgård is now looking for an experienced massage therapist who wants to play a key role in our ongoing focus on spa, relaxation, and wellness.
Söderfors Herrgård is a historic manor house hotel dating back to 1690, located on the Dalälven River in Uppland, about 90 minutes from Stockholm, 60 minutes from Arlanda, and 30 minutes from Gävle.
The resort features a hotel, restaurant, spa, sauna raft, conference facilities, wedding venues, event spaces, and a campground. We are currently in a phase of expansion and would now like to continue building out our spa offerings with more treatments and an even better experience for our guests.
About the service
Your main responsibility will be to provide massages and treatments to our hotel guests, spa guests, and external visitors.
We are looking for someone who already has experience in professional massage and who is comfortable interacting with guests.
At the same time, Söderfors Herrgård is a small facility with a relatively small team. This means that we work closely together and help each other across different areas of the business.
When there are no massage appointments booked, you may therefore also be asked to assist with other tasks at the facility, such as housekeeping, restaurant service, reception, the spa, or other aspects of daily operations.
For us, it’s not about everyone doing everything, but rather about being a team where we help each other when needed. We’re therefore looking for someone who appreciates variety and enjoys being part of the entire guest experience.
Your primary role and area of expertise will continue to be massage and spa services.
Your Job Responsibilities
• Provide professional massages and treatments to hotel guests and outside guests
• Take care of guests before, during, and after their treatments
• Help create a calm, welcoming, and professional environment in the spa area
• Help develop our range of massages, treatments, and wellness experiences
• Ensure that treatment rooms and the spa maintain high standards
• Contribute ideas for new treatments, packages, and spa offers
• Collaborate with the front desk and other departments regarding reservations and guests' stays
• Assist as needed with tasks such as housekeeping, food service, reception, and other hotel operations
We are looking for someone who
• Has training in massage or equivalent relevant training
• Has previous experience working as a massage therapist
• Is comfortable working independently on treatments
• Provides professional and warm service
• Is service-oriented and enjoys working with people
• Is flexible and sees it as natural to help colleagues when needed
• You are responsible and able to organize your own work
• Want to help develop a practice, not just perform treatments
Experience in hotels, spas, wellness centers, or similar businesses is a plus.
It is also an asset if you can offer additional treatments beyond classic massage.

These may include, for example, new treatments, massage packages, combinations of spa treatments and sauna rafts, as well as special wellness packages that include hotel accommodations.
