Sous Chef – Söderfors Manor

Söderfors Manor is a listed Baroque manor house dating from 1690, located on the Dalälven River in Uppland. Today, we operate a full-service boutique hotel offering a restaurant, spa, wedding services, conferences, and events year-round.

We are currently looking for a sous chef who is willing to take full responsibility for the kitchen and help shape the overall experience for our guests.

This isn't a role for someone who just wants to manage things. We're looking for someone who leads, drives change, and raises the bar every day.

About the role

As a sous chef, you’ll be responsible for shifts and will also help drive the department’s development alongside your colleagues; together, you’ll set the standard and ensure quality in everything from breakfast to large events and weddings.

You will work both operationally and strategically on:

  • Daily shift operations
  • Menu Development

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 3 years of experience as a sous chef
  • Has worked in demanding, fast-paced, and varied environments
  • Has extensive expertise in traditional Swedish cuisine
  • Passionate about Swedish and Nordic cuisine
  • Has extensive experience with events, weddings, and large-scale bookings
  • Has a strong understanding of finance, planning, and leadership
  • Speaks Swedish and English
  • Has a Class B driver's license
